How can I make my old faux stone fireplace look newer?

Our condo was built in the 80's. It has a huge fireplace with "fake" stone on it. The fireplace actually has light brown grout between the stones that appears to match the same grout in the kitchen tile. It's not juvenile the same thing happened to me. Mine was a family member. Me and my husband were TTC and told her our name months later she named her kid that. It is a really crappy thing to do. A person's name for their future baby means a lot to someone and you never should do that. Okay, I have a 1998 Plymouth Neon...I bought it for like 800 bucks...which I think was a really good deal. Anyway, we just got a new rack and pinion put in it, because it was leaking power steering fluid horribly. But now, if we turn the wheel a certain way you can hear this sort of creaking sound...like somebody walking on a creaky floor. There are no apparent problems with the steering or drivability that I can tell...just that noise. What do you think it could be? Also, when we first start the car and use the brakes, they will make a screeching noise. But after we've been driving it for a few minutes, it goes away. We've checked the pads and shoes and everything is fine with that. What are your opinions on what these things could be?

What off snow experiences help on snow for ski/snowboard?

For skiing, if you were to only do one thing for off snow experience, I would do rollerblading. It's closer to the motions of skiing then ice skating is. Though rollerblading would help for balance, you can't really simulate being on skis, hence why you'll need to actually be on skis to get better at skiing.

For people who've read the Da'Vinci Code?

I'm just now reading the Da'Vinci Code, ( know it's late, but whatever) but yeah, it's a really good book, but some of the points on 'religion' in this book are quite realistic. Are they true? I know there was some type of controversy around the topic of the book, but I never got the details on it. Some of these things I looked up, like the original painting of 'The Last Supper', where it shows that there are actually 13 cups, and a WOMAN sitting next to Jesus, who is 'supposedly' Mary Magdelene. You know the woman who is portrayed as a prostitute in the bible? I'm NOT a Christian, and I really don't agree with most of the beliefs in the Christian religion...and this book just makes it seem like all of it is lies. If it's true, I would feel so much more comfortable with the religion. But I don't know if it is...so is it? Again, this is only for people who have actually READ the book, not some Christian activists trying to preach hate to me. Thank you.

Is my stretched ears infected?

My ears are currently stretched at 5/8ths. My right ear is perfectly fine healthy and thick (Woo Hoo). My left ear doesnt hurt, itch or isnt annoyed by anything. It feels just like my right one. It does look a little swollen but I also have thick natural ear lobes. Im not too worried about that. But when I clean it I am realizing that there is a yellowish white goo thats coming out. I know that freshly stretched ears get crusties or ear funk (That **** that makes your ear smell; Its normal I know this.) but I have had them at 5/8ths for about 3 weeks now and only my left ear has this. I dont know if it is infected because it doesnt hurt or anything. Its not a big problem I just want some of your opinions who have probably been through what Im going through. Thank you all. My daughter is 4. She has legitimately had some issues with her skin bothering her. Her clothes bothered her skin really bad. She even woke in the night with her sheets irritating her skin, so I am confident she wasn't messing with me. (even though there was never any visible irritation) I took her to the doctor, and he told me to give her Zyrtec and put a special lotion on her. It seemed to help immediately. Here's the thing. Most of the time now, she is fine. She will play in the sandbox. She will wear her bathing suit (that has a very uncomfortable hula skirt to wear on top). She will lay all over our sofa that has a somewhat dense material. She doesn't complain at all in doing these things. But, when I tell her to put on her comfy pj's...or soft cotton play clothes...she will go ballistic saying her clothes are bothering her. I think she really thinks they are bothering her. I don't think she is making it up...but when she doesn't think about things bothering her...they don't. (Kinda like when you think about an itch on your nose...you get an itch on your nose) Anyway, I am trying to just ignore her behavior...and give her 2 clothing options...hoping 1 won't "bother" her. You can get a catnip board that she can scratch. I've never tried the caps but hear they fall off. I would get a small spray bottle, like from a beauty supply store, to spray her when she jumps up, and say NO. there are sprays by Hartz, from the pet store, to keep them away from furniture, they like wicker so that's the biggest problem. Just ask your mom to "try" it, and if it doesn't work out, the cat goes back. But cats need company, it's important for them to learn social skills.

I just bought a laptop from a guy at my job for 120$. Before I even mess wih it I want to reboot it. Its an Acer laptop running Windows XP I believe even though it has A Vista sticker on it. Can someone tell me how to test the voltage coming from a circuit breaker?

I know there is power coming from the wires because I used one of those little LED outlet testers on the leads and got a light. It's not a bad idea, but the general theme has been used before, think Minority Report. After it's been used a few times the main attraction becomes the intricacies and twists that are thrown into the story. How to Put Wii Games on USB ....and where to download games for free?

I myself haven't tried playing any wii games on a computer but you should type in "name of the game you want to download + rom" on google. You'll basically download a raw copy of the game. After you've done that, save it to your flash drive. Once you've done that, type in Nintendo Wii emulator online and just download a random on to that same flash drive. Once you unzip the file and open up the emulator, click file, open, and choose the game on the flash drive. That should work and allow you to play the game on your computer.

i'd say your a bit overstocked. a good rule of thumb is to keep a larger number of a few species. corys should be in a group of 3 or more. also otos should be in a group of 3 or more. My Hard Disk is not accessible from "my computer"?

I can't access the contents of my hard disk from "my computer". Each time I double-click, a new window says I have to choose the program I want to use to open the file. However, I can still view the contents of my hard disk by using the "run" facility and typing "C:\" in it. I have tried to restore my computer to an earlier state but the problem persists. I don't have a virus, I have checked twice with my up to date antivirus. I have the impression that the problem occured after the automatic windows update and installation. When I bought my pc 4 years ago, the Windows XP home edition installation CD was not provided. Therefore I am not able to reinstall the Windows. I think the problem is located in Windows Registry. I would really appreciate if anyone could give me a good solution to this ennoying problem. Thanking you in anticipation.

Farting sounds and farting in cl help?

After i eat dinner, i occasionally fart but nothing extreme. Now after i eat lunch in school, my stomach starts to make these grumbling sounds. One sounds like a fart or a fart that is releasing but i hold in my farts because the clroom gets very quiet almost all the time. I ate a cheeseburger, fries, both with not much hot sauce and some chocolate milk at lunch and this happened 20 min. later. The other sound, is like a hungry stomach which also happens AFTER i eat. I don't understand why this happens and how can i prevent it cause it's embarrasing for me.

Why is my ex confused about being with me again?

I'm not sure where to start. My name is Angela and I'm 22 years old. I was with my girlfriend Jodie for almost 4 years...we were so much in love. We moved in together after 4 months. On July 25th 2008 we had a misunderstanding over the phone which led to an actual break up...she moved out.. i begged and pleaded. I thought my life was over because i loved her so much. My birthday on the 29 th led to my finding out that she was actually in a relationship with a guy she works with which was actually a mutual friend. The first month they were together she was already sleeping with me again and telling me how big of a mistake she made and would talk about all the negative things about her boyfriend. We had actually met up once or twice for lunch to talk about getting back together and taking things slowly this time because she couldn't imagine not having me in her life. Especially once i told her that being friends is absolutely unacceptable considering the mutual attraction towards each other and the history behind us. She agreed that there's no way we could be friends. She tells me that she just fell out of love with me and that's why everything happened. I know for a fact that love is definitely possible again. It's now been 6 months, and we still talk. This last week actually we spent together having fun with eachother confessing our love for one another. She was trying to figure out a way to break up with her boyfriend so we could start over because she loves me. Then something stops her from taking the final step to making a commitment with me again. She can't figure out what it is stopping her. We need help figuring this out....She just told me on the phone she WANTS to know so she can move forward with me again. She feels like shes going crazy because we talk about it for days laying in bed with one another telling me everything she loves about me. Do you think she fell out of love with me? Could she still be in love with me and not accept that or be in denial about it because she has convinced herself that that's why we fell through?
