I need help with ap chemistry! i have no idea how to start!?

Ethyl alcohol (ethanol) dissolves in water to give a solution that boils at a LOWER temperature than pure water at standard pressure. Potium chloride dissolves in water to gibe a boiling point that boils at HIGHER temperature than pure water at standard pressure. Explain these observations from the standpoint of vapor pressure and colligative properties.
