I took .5 mg of xanax before and it never affected me?

I'm a 16 year old girl who weighs about 140 and is 5'7" and i took .5 mg of xanax for the first time today, (around 6 and it's 11 now) and it never did anything. I was super stressed about a bunch of things i have to get done, and i expected that xanax would chill me out and relax me. but i got no effects at all. i've heard that it could make you very relaxed, chill, tired, loopy, i got nothing. should i take more? did i take it wrong? hmmmm. (and by the way, it was a xanax peach pill, .5 mg)
