Is the iPhone worth it's price and worth buying?

See it's exclusively on AT&T. AT&T sucks though. Plus it's like pricey, and I think the iPhone is just like a beta. Us stupid apple fans will just buy it and be the testers. Should we wait till the next version comes out. But sadly technology always get outdated so quickly.
