Why hasnt he started a conversation since weve been going out?

me and my boyfriend have been going out for 3 months now. school ended and hes in the hamptons but the thing is he hasnt talked to m in two days becuz i havent started the conversation. lately im always the one to start the conversation or else it wont happen. hes started conversations before but now i feel as if i always have to start it or else he wouldnt talk to me. what do i do? is it normal should i worry? please help!! thanks
