Would you be okay with your 7th grader reading this in cl?

We read the giver in 6th grade and had people crying at the end but I think it was a good experience for everyone to read about the death in it . And we had a lot of good discussions. What does it matter if she's private and your public anyway/ Except...her kids are probably smarter than yours. No offense.
