A few questions about my new cat!?

You can get a catnip board that she can scratch. I've never tried the caps but hear they fall off. I would get a small spray bottle, like from a beauty supply store, to spray her when she jumps up, and say NO. there are sprays by Hartz, from the pet store, to keep them away from furniture, they like wicker so that's the biggest problem. Just ask your mom to "try" it, and if it doesn't work out, the cat goes back. But cats need company, it's important for them to learn social skills.
